Family
As the primary SFL value, commitment to family was the drive that motivated our patriarch to immigrate to the United States–at just sixteen years of age and alone–in search of his American dream. Grandpa passed on this value to all the Stirrups that followed.
Education
Though not formally educated, E.W.F. Stirrup was determined that all of his children would be–and they all were. Many of his children, grandchildren, and descendants became educators themselves. The SFL education initiatives are how we honor our patriarch’s commitment to education.
Service
Serving one’s family and community is the foundational value of civil societies all over the world, and throughout time. SFL is committed to promoting this value, through words and deeds, for the betterment of our shared community. Through service, we rise and grow together.
